I have been using Microsoft Access since 1995.
It can be used to quickly develop sophisticated solutions.
Microsoft has made the Access run time freely available.
This means that you no longer need to have Access installed on your computer in order to use a solution developed in Access.
Examples of my projects include:
- Developing the Ariel Contact Relationship Manager.
- Converting an existing Access 2000 into Access 2007. The application was developed by a charity. I then created an install CD. The charity could then issue the application to their volunteers (see installation notes). The charity originally thought they would have to rewrite the application in an open source solution.
